Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. Therefore many pilgrims travel to Saudi from India to visit the spiritual city and due to that many visa applications are being processed at the Saudi Embassy. Please be informed for the same reason the embassy is delaying all the approvals to normal visit visas.

New Zealand will no longer issue the physical visa labels in passport

It is to inform all the applicants who already applied or will be applying for the New Zealand Visa.  

From Wednesday 4 July 2018 INZ will no longer be issuing physical visa labels in passports. All approved visa applications will receive an email with an approval letter, which is an eVisa.


Once the application for a New Zealand visa is being processed the decision will be conveyed by an email, if an email address is provided or a letter, In case, an email address is not provided.

The email/letter will provide details of a decision and If an application is approved, no visa label will be placed inside the passport. Instead, an electronic visa will be linked to your passport.

Important Update: Portugal Embassy New Delhi


Applicants who submit their application in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jalandhar, Chandigarh and Kolkata are here informed that all short-term applications from June 22 until further notice will be processed by the Swiss Embassy in New Delhi. Applicants must submit an application only through the VFS Centers. Also, keep in mind that until the next update, visa categories such as Student, Family Reunification, Category D, Seasonal Work Permit in the above locations will not be accepted.

Important Update - Czech Republic

Please note that the Embassy of the Czech Republic, Delhi is currently receiving a large number of visa applications.

Therefore, the processing time for short-stay visas is extended by up to 20 working days.

This period may be extended by another 30 working days, in particular, if further consideration of the application is required.

So, it is strongly recommended that you apply at least 3 weeks before your travel to the Czech Republic.

Important Notice - Norway

Royal Norwegian Embassy, Delhi is experiencing a tremendous increase in visa applications. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that the applicant must apply at least 4 weeks prior the departure date.

Applicants can register their application 3 months before the planned trip.

Application Processing Time:
Since the peak season is very high, the processing time can take upto 3 - 4 weeks. Please also note that the days are counted from the day the application is received by the Embassy and not from the date the application was submitted to the VFS Center. Wait for another 3-6 days courier between VFS and the embassy.

Additional Notes*

 The embassy can not give priority to individual cases, except for death or serious illness.
 Two (2) or more applicants applying for the same visit can jointly apply for a faster process.
