Songkran Holiday Notice: Thailand Embassy

It is to inform all the Indian citizens who are planning to visit Thailand for the purpose of business or leisure. 

In Thailand, 13th April is a Songkran day “Thai New Year” by the reason of this festival royal Thai Embassy and all the Consulates will remain closed on the date of 13th April - 15th April.

Concern With Thailand Visa Issue -Important Notice

This is to inform you that, The Royal Thai Consulate Mumbai is facing some technical issue. Which hinder their visas issuing process for the application submitted. Hence the consulate will not accept visa application on 8th December 2017, which leads to delay in the delivery of passport by few days.
Hence, the application and the representative can withdraw their application if they want and the visa fee and consulting charge will be refunded subsequently.

Applicants are requested to make a note that Thailand Consulate Mumbai will remain closed on 01-12-2017, 05-12-2017 and 25-12-2017.
So kindly plan your tickets accordingly in order to avoid inconvenience.

Thailand consulate closed on 16th Nov 2017 and 17th Nov 2017

Thailand consulate will remain closed on 16 Nov 2017 and 17 Nov 2017. This is due to technical error with the printing machine at the Consulate.
No visas shall be issued until further notice.

Applicants with urgent travel date are suggested to opt for visa on arrival .

Thailand Visa Approvals on Hold - 05th Oct 2017 to 09th Oct 2017

The  Royal Thai Consulate General of Mumbai will not issue visas from 05th Oct to 09th Oct 2017 due to technical error with the visa sticker printing machine.
It might take more time as well for the problem to get resolved, delaying the visa process.
Travelers with close travel dates are suggested to take On Arrival Visa.

Thailand Visa Applications accepted with prior appointment from 29 Aug to 8 Sept

Due to the heavy rush application for Thailand visa from 29th August to 8th September, will require a prior appointment. Applicants are suggested to plan their travel accordingly, for urgent travel applicants are suggested to opt for on arrival visa as appointment dates are not easily available.

End of Thailand Visa Fee Exemption

W.E.F.  01st Sept 2017 nationals of all countries travelling to Thailand are to comply with the followings - 
  • When applying for the visa will have to pay visa fees of INR 2000/- per person 
  • When opting for On Arrival Visa will have to pay fees of 2000 Thai Bahts per person 
The visa fee exemption scheme and the temporary Visa on Arrival Fee reduction scheme is valid till 31st Aug 2017.
